Ancient Roots Herbal Conference

שורשים קדומים, הכנס הבינלאומי לצמחי מרפא

2020: February 9-11, Ana Poriya, Israel
2021: To be announced

Important notice to our community, November 30, 2020:

“It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to postpone the second annual Ancient Roots Israel International Herbal Conference, originally scheduled for this January 26-28, 2021.

In the current climate of Covid-19 rules and regulations, the Israeli Government has maintained sealed boarders to non-citizens as well as instituting a 2-week quarantine, for those few who have permissions into the country. It has also blocked international (and domestic) conferences, closed all hotels and limited or outright forbidden group gatherings, both indoors and outside. The regulations and laws change by the day, making it impossible to move forward with an in-person conference and the warmth and intimacy that it brings to our community.

To provide an anchor in these stormy times, we will be offering a 2-hour Zoom panel titled Herbal Medicine in Times of Crisis to our community, free of charge. Details will be forthcoming on our website and social media channels.

We are pleased that, in the short time since our ARI 2020 Conference, we have instituted two thriving Whatsapp groups; ARI2020, to build and maintain a day-to-day connection for our community and the ARI Virtual Plantwalk, a (first daily and now) weekly free plant identification course to serve our community’s needs for accessible education in herbal medicine. All classes can also be accessed on our YouTube channel @ancientrootsisrael.

We are also proud to have offered various Zoom distance learning classes with renowned herbalists both from Israel and abroad, and networking opportunities throughout this past year. Our initial goal was to provide a conference for 50 people, but in less than a year, our community has grown into the hundreds, with approximately 1,200 followers on Instagram, 600 on Facebook, 150 on YouTube and 200 people following our Whatsapp groups linked above. We treasure our new and thriving community and welcome everyone to come forward and be a part of our ongoing programing! We can be reached at

We will be rescheduling our very special and much needed conference at the earliest opportunity. Until then ARI will continue to provide our online classes and support to the community, as a necessary health service for all people. Please join us for a walk down memory lane with this short video summary of our 2020 conference.

Sending warmth and love to you this blooming winter season,
J. Rivkah Asoulin, Founder & Executive Director, Ancient Roots Israel”
